We are hugely excited to shout that we have been appointed by the World Photography Organisation (WPO) to secure sponsors and partners across all of their current and future projects.
The WPO is a global platform for the photographic industry, supporting professionals, amateurs and students. Founded by Scott Gray in 2007, WPO delivers various initiatives and programmes across the World, including the World Photography Awards sponsored by Sony, the World Photography Student Focus Programme, the World Photography Festivals, the World Photography Collection and the World Photography Focus Programme.
World Photo London 2012, part of the World Photography Festival Series, commences at the end of April. The year’s event features the Sony World Photography Award Gala Ceremony and, hosted in the stunning Embankment Galleries in Somerset House, the World Photography Awards Exhibition, featuring the best of the 112,000 entries for the 2012 awards. The exhibition will run from 27th April until 20th May 2012 and is open to the public.
Highlights of World Photo London will include a wide-ranging programme of events, seminars, exhibitions and workshops, including tours of the exhibition with the awards winners, a special presentation by the Honorary Judges, a Business of Photography Seminar and portfolio reviews.
Scott Gray, Founder and Managing Director of WPO, commented on the appointment: “We are delighted to be working with brandmeetsbrand in order to secure further partners for our various global photography projects. Extending our partnership programme enables us to create more initiatives for our international community as well as providing partners with a prestigious, cultural programme that actively engages with consumers worldwide.”
We have been appointed to secure sponsors across the increasing global portfolio of events, which last year extended to London, Shanghai, San Francisco and Sao Paulo. Additionally, we will also seek to develop partnerships across other assets, such as Student Focus, which is a platform to support and connect the next generation of photographers, particularly working with 200 universities around the world that WPO has a relationship with.
Our very own brandmeetsbrand’s Account Director, Tom Baynton-Williams, said of the news:
We are thrilled to be working with Scott and the World Photography Organisation team. Last year the World Photography programmes and the Sony World Photography Awards generated over £16 million of media value with over 100,000 entries from 171 countries, making it one of the largest all engaging global competitions in the World. This offers a magnitude of opportunities for brands, including awareness, hospitality, CSR benefits and a high number of exclusive ‘money can’t buy’ opportunities.
Please contact me or the team at brandmeetsbrand for further information about the sponsorship opportunities.
